Why Physical Therapy With Embark?

Your goals are high, so the standard has to be higher.

Beyond my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I’ve done extensive training to become a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist - Dry Needling (CMTPT/DN).

Objective testing to ensure that we are doing what we say we are doing is critical. Frequent testing and retesting using objective devices such as Tindeq Progressor for isometric strength testing and My Jump Lab for jump and sprint assessment.

I’ve spent a lot of time making sure that I have the tools and skills necessary to help you bridge the gap fully from where you are right now to where you can only imagine yourself being.

What is our Treatment Philosophy?

1) Restore

The initial phase of treatment focuses on getting you back to your baseline.

Restoring Mobility: Enhancing your ability to move freely and comfortably.

Managing Pain: Reducing discomfort to a manageable level. Re-establishing function. Regaining essential movements for daily activities, such as pushing, pulling, squatting, hinging, lunging, and carrying.Think of this as resetting to a clean slate, preparing your body for the next stages of recovery and improvement.

2) Rebuild

Once a baseline of mobility and pain management is achieved, it's time to move to the next step.

Enhance Strength and Resilience: Develop the strength and durability needed to handle various intensities of movement and activity.

Build a Strong Foundation: Ensure your body can repeatedly handle physical demands, creating a solid base for future activities.

This phase focuses on reinforcing your body’s capacity to perform and endure.

3) Re-envision

The final phase is about expanding your vision for what you can achieve.

Set Active Goals: Consider what you could do if you weren't concerned about how your body would respond.

Trust Your Body: Move beyond simply alleviating pain to building confidence in your body’s ability to handle new challenges.

Re-envision your capabilities and embrace new possibilities with a body that you trust to perform at its best.

What is our Training Philosophy?

Imagine your body’s ability to handle life's demands as a bucket. The goal is to manage this bucket’s contents so it never overflows.

If leading an active lifestyle is important to you, having a structured framework to enhance your capacity to manage these demands can be incredibly beneficial.

Do I take insurance?

Nope, I don’t take insurance—and that’s actually on purpose.

There are two main reasons for this:

First, staying out-of-network lets me give you a way more personalized and thorough experience. In most insurance-based clinics, therapists have to juggle multiple patients at once and often get boxed into what the insurance will or won’t cover. I want to be able to give you the time, attention, and treatment you actually need to get all the way back to doing what you love—without cutting corners.

Second, being out-of-network gives me the flexibility to stay closely involved in your care through some level of remote programming. Making real progress and getting out of pain takes time—and honestly, the biggest changes happen in the hours and days between sessions. That’s where the real work lives. My model takes the guesswork off your plate and keeps your rehab on track every step of the way, even if we’re not meeting in person. Instead of the usual setup where you see someone a bunch early on and then only check in here and there, I’m with you from start to finish. A lot of my clients—especially busy folks—really appreciate that consistent support, because it keeps things moving forward every week and makes the whole rehab process feel way clearer.

What types of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, credit card, or debit card. We also accept health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible savings accounts (FSA).

In addition, we can provide you with an itemized receipt called a "superbill" for each session. This can be submitted to your insurance for an out-of-network reimbursement. To determine if you are eligible for this, please contact your insurance company.
